Ukraine downs 127 Russian drones in overnight attack, hits reported in Odesa, Poltava oblasts

Ukrainian air defenses shot down or suppressed 127 of 136 Russian attack drones launched overnight into Tuesday, causing damage to port and transport infrastructure in Odesa Oblast and wounding four people in Poltava Oblast from falling debris, the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported.

The aggressor launched the drones from Kursk, Primorsko-Akhtarsk and Hvardiyske in temporarily occupied Crimea. About 80 of the launched drones were Shaheds.

According to preliminary data, as of 9 a.m., air defense neutralized 127 Russian UAVs of Shahed, Gerbera, Italmas and other types in the north, south and east of the country.

Five strike drones were recorded hitting three locations, and UAV debris fell at three more locations.

Consequences of the attack

Odesa regional governor Oleh Kiper reported that Odesa Oblast came under drone attack overnight. Port and transport infrastructure facilities sustained damage.

In particular, a dry cargo warehouse and road containers were damaged, and glazing was shattered in administrative buildings. Preliminary reports indicate no casualties.

Also this morning, falling UAV debris was recorded in Poltava Oblast. Four people sustained moderate injuries, according to the regional military administration.
