Russia launches 37 missiles and 542 drones at Ukraine; 541 targets neutralized
Russia fired 37 missiles and 542 drones at Ukraine overnight and through Friday, and air defenses downed or suppressed 541 targets, the Air Force of Ukraine reported.
As of 2 p.m., air defenses had shot down or suppressed 541 targets: 24 Kh-101 cruise missiles, two Iskander-K cruise missiles and 515 drones.
The Air Force also recorded impacts from 11 missiles and 27 strike drones at 20 locations, and debris from downed drones at 22 locations.
According to the Air Force of Ukraine, the munitions launched included:
- 10 Iskander-M ballistic missiles
- 25 Kh-101 cruise missiles
- 2 Iskander-K cruise missiles
- 542 drones, more than 330 of them Shaheds
Aftermath of the attack
In Kyiv Oblast, the Obukhiv, Bucha, and Fastiv districts came under Russian attack. In the Fastiv strike, a fire broke out in a veterinary clinic, killing about 20 animals.
In addition, houses, cars, and administrative buildings were also damaged in the region. As the Kyiv regional police informed hromadske, there is currently one fatality in the region and eight injured people — including one minor. The final number of injured people is still being determined.
The Russians continued to attack Kharkiv, the city that has been suffering from enemy attacks for the second day in a row.
"In general, the current series of strikes has become perhaps the most massive during the entire full-scale war and certainly the most severe since the beginning of the year," wrote Mayor Ihor Terekhov.
According to the regional military administration, seven people were injured in today's attack on Kharkiv. Another wounded man died in hospital.
The northern part of Zhytomyr Oblast also came under Russian attack on April 3. Regional governo Vitaliy Bunechko reported that 18 buildings were destroyed in the region, including nine residential buildings. More than 100 residential buildings, more than 55 utility buildings, and two shops were also damaged.
A 70-year-old woman died as a result of Russian attacks on Zhytomyr Oblast, and five people were injured.
This morning, drones also struck Poltava Oblast, in particular the Myrhorod and Poltava districts. A farm, houses, and a garage were damaged.
According to regional governor Vitaliy Diakivnych one man was injured.
