Russia attacks Ukraine with Iskander-M missile and 293 drones

Russia attacked Ukraine overnight with an Iskander-M ballistic missile and 293 drones, with damage and injuries reported in the Kyiv and Dnipropetrovsk oblasts and critical infrastructure hit in Odesa Oblast, according to local administrations and the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.

Ukraine’s General Staff said 264 of the 293 Russian strike drones were shot down or suppressed. The drones included Shahed, Gerbera and Italmas models, as well as Banderol loitering munitions and Parodiya decoy drones.

Russian forces also launched an Iskander-M ballistic missile, officials said. Impacts were recorded at 11 locations.

In Kyiv Oblast, a drone attack caused a fire at an industrial infrastructure site in the Boryspil district.

A worker at the enterprise was injured. Officials said a fuel truck driver was hospitalized with a closed fracture of the ankle joint and received medical care.

Critical infrastructure in Odesa Oblast also came under attack. A fire broke out after a strike and was later extinguished by firefighters.

In Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, two people were injured in the overnight Russian attacks. In Pavlohrad, fires broke out in two apartments in a multi-story residential building. A 45-year-old man and a 75-year-old woman were injured.
