Russia launches two missiles and over 100 drones at Ukraine overnight

Ukrainian air defenses managed to neutralize most of the targets Russia launched overnight into Friday, according to Ukraine’s Air Force.

The aggressor launched two Kh-59/69 guided air missiles and 105 strike drones of the Shahed type (including jet-powered), Gerbera, Italmas and Parodia-type imitator drones at Ukraine overnight.

According to preliminary data, as of 8:30 a.m., air defenses shot down or suppressed 83 targets: one guided air missile and 82 Russian drones in the north, south and east of the country.

One air missile and 21 strike drones hit 16 locations, while falling debris was recorded at five locations.

The consequences of the Russian strikes were recorded, in particular, in Sumy Oblast. There, a drone hit an apartment building. Four people were killed — a 76-year-old man, women aged 39 and 26, and a girl under two years old.

In addition, Sumy regional governor Oleg Hryhorov reported that from the night, Russians attacked gas stations in the region four times. In particular, a woman was injured in the Nedryhailiv territorial community, and at least three civilians in the Sumy community.

In Sumy proper, Russians attacked gas stations twice. According to preliminary information, the repeated strike was carried out by a jet-powered drone.

A Russian drone also attacked Lozova in Kharkiv Oblast, the regional prosecutor's office reported. Private residential buildings were damaged as a result of the hit.

Six civilians were injured. Among them is a family of six: a 31-year-old man, a 27-year-old woman, their three daughters aged 10, 6 and 1, and the woman's 58-year-old mother.

The 10-year-old girl was diagnosed with blast injury and thermal burns covering about 40% of her body surface. The child was hospitalized in serious condition.

The girl's parents, her younger sisters and grandmother suffered acute stress reactions.

Dnipropetrovsk Oblast was also under Russian attacks overnight, where, according to the State Emergency Service, one person was killed and 13 more were injured.

Overnight into Friday, Russian forces attacked Kryvyi Rih, as a result of which seven people were injured. An enterprise, educational institutions, apartment buildings, a store and cars were damaged.

Also in the morning, Russians struck a gas station in the Sofiyivka territorial community of the Kryvyi Rih district where one person was killed, and three more injured. The Nikopol, Kamyanske and Synelnykove districts were also under attack, where three people were injured.
