4 children among 6 hurt in Russian strike on apartment building and shopping center in Sumy
Russian forces attacked the city of Sumy on Monday evening, injuring two adults and four children in a strike by a jet-powered drone, according to regional governor Oleg Hryhorov.
The first Russian strike hit a multi-story residential building in the city.
Among the injured were two adults and four children.
An 8-year-old boy and a 16-year-old girl were taken to the hospital, where they were receiving medical treatment. Their injuries were described as not serious. The other victims were treated without hospitalization.
Russian forces then struck the city two more times in the same district. One of those attacks caused a large fire on the grounds of a shopping center. Information about additional casualties was still being clarified.

The regional administration published images showing the shopping center destroyed in the attack. Local public channels reported that it was an Epicentr DIY store. Hryhorov said response efforts were being complicated by repeated Russian attacks.
