Russia launches 5 missiles and 180 drones at Ukraine; woman and child hurt in Odesa Oblast
Russia launched five Kh-59/69 guided air-launched missiles and 180 strike drones at Ukraine from the evening of July 23 through the night of July 24, with hits recorded in several regions, according to the Ukrainian Air Force.
As of 8 a.m., Ukraine’s air defenses had neutralized 164 targets — four Kh-59/69 missiles and 160 drones.
At the same time, the Air Force said one guided missile and 14 strike drones hit targets at nine locations, while debris from downed targets fell at eight sites.
Consequences of attacks in the regions
In Odesa Oblast, missile and drone strikes damaged the roof of an apartment building, private homes, vehicles and the grounds of an enterprise. A woman and a 4-year-old child were injured and received medical assistance.
Overnight, Russian forces also struck the city of Izyum in Kharkiv Oblast with three guided aerial bombs. The bombs hit a Nova Poshta cargo branch, a warehouse and an open area. Windows in nearby buildings were damaged, four vehicles were hit and power lines were damaged, leaving part of the district without electricity.
At about 5:50 a.m., four Geran drones struck a private boarding house in the village of Radychiv in Chernihiv Oblast, causing a fire.
In the Nadlak territorial community of Kirovohrad Oblast, a private home was damaged, and an enterprise in Kropyvnytskyi district also came under attack. No casualties were reported.
Russian forces also attacked Mykolaiv Oblast with Shahed and Gerbera drones. Port infrastructure was hit, but no casualties were reported.
