Russian bombs kill three, including two girls aged 5 and 10, in Sumy
Russian forces struck Sumy with guided aerial bombs on Tuesday, killing three people in the city, including two girls aged 5 and 10, according to regional governor Oleg Hryhorov.
In Sumy, Russian guided bomb killed the two girls, ages 5 and 10, along with a 75-year-old woman. The children's bodies were recovered from the rubble of their home.
Additionally, a 69-year-old woman and a 37-year-old man — the latter injured by a Russian drone — were wounded. Two women, ages 32 and 42, suffered acute stress reactions.
In Sumy Oblast’s Richky territorial community, an 88-year-old woman was killed in a drone strike on a private home. In the Shostka community, a 50-year-old man was injured in a separate drone strike.
Hryhorov said six guided aerial bombs struck civilian infrastructure in Sumy, while two others were shot down.
Overnight, Russian forces also attacked Mykolaiv and the surrounding region with Shahed drones, killing an 89-year-old woman and injuring seven other people, including two girls ages 2 and 12.
