Ukrainian drone strikes Russian military aircraft at airfield in occupied Crimea
A Ukrainian drone struck a Russian military aircraft at an airfield in occupied Crimea, Ukraine's military intelligence (HUR) said on Sept. 7.
HUR's Department of Active Operations published footage showing the strike but did not identify the aircraft or specify the airfield. The extent of the damage is still being assessed.
The aircraft shown in the footage appears to be a Russian Su-24 tactical bomber.
The strike came as Ukraine marked Military Intelligence Day. HUR described the attack as a “gift” for the occasion.
