Ukraine unveils Koral air-defense interceptor as 30 arms makers showcase weapons in Poland
More than 30 Ukrainian defense manufacturers are showcasing drones, missiles and reconnaissance systems at Poland's MSPO 2026 defense exhibition, with several Ukrainian weapons making their European debut.
Among them is Koral, a Ukrainian-made air-defense interceptor designed to engage both aerial and ballistic targets. The missile, produced by state-owned defense group Ukroboronprom, was shown publicly in Europe for the first time.
According to specifications displayed at the exhibition, Koral weighs 450 kilograms (992 pounds), including a 36-kilogram (79-pound) warhead. Its guidance system combines inertial navigation, radio correction and active radar homing.
The interceptor is intended for use as part of an air-defense system, although its manufacturer says it can also be used in exceptional circumstances against radar-visible targets on land or at sea.
Ukraine also presented its long-range Liutyi and jet-powered Peklo drones in Europe for the first time.
Fire Point showcased its Flamingo cruise missile as well as the FP-7 and FP-9 ballistic missiles, part of a growing range of domestically produced Ukrainian long-range weapons.
MSPO, held annually in Kielce, is the largest defense industry exhibition in Central and Eastern Europe. This year's event brings together around 1,200 exhibitors from 40 countries.
