Russia strikes Ukrainian passenger train in second such attack in two days
Russian forces struck a passenger train traveling from Kyiv to Mykolaiv on Sept. 16, in the second Russian attack on a Ukrainian passenger train in two days.
Passengers and crew were evacuated, and no injuries were reported, Ukraine’s state railway operator Ukrzaliznytsia said.
The railway said it was arranging buses with regional authorities to transport passengers following the attack.
The strike came a day after Russian forces hit the locomotive of a Kyiv–Warsaw passenger train near Ukraine’s border with Poland. No casualties were reported in that attack either.
