Ukraine says it hit Russian Su-24 aircraft at Crimean airfield, drone launch site
Ukrainian forces struck a Russian Su-24 aircraft at the Saky airfield in occupied Crimea during a series of attacks on Russian military targets on Sept. 15–16, Ukraine’s General Staff said.
The extent of damage to the aircraft is still being assessed.
Ukraine also struck a site used to store, prepare and launch attack drones near occupied Donetsk, as well as several Russian drone command posts, according to the military.
The General Staff also reported strikes on an ammunition depot in occupied Luhansk Oblast, fuel storage facilities in Luhansk and Zaporizhzhia oblasts, and two Russian reconnaissance posts in Crimea.
The reported results of the strikes have not been independently verified.
