Russian strike destroys Kyiv publisher’s rebuilt warehouse months after previous attack
A Russian strike on Kyiv has destroyed a warehouse used by Ukrainian publishing house Knyholav, damaging facilities the company had rebuilt after another Russian attack in July.
Knyholav said no employees were injured in the Oct. 7 attack, but tens of thousands of books were lost. The publisher said it was still assessing the full extent of the damage.
The warehouse had only recently been restored after a Russian strike on July 19, when Knyholav said it lost nearly 250,000 books.
The latest damage came during a large-scale overnight Russian attack on Ukraine involving missiles and drones. At least 17 people were killed across Kyiv, Kremenchuk and Pryluky, including four children.
