Falling debris from intercepted Russian drone kills man in western Ukraine
A security guard was killed in Ivano-Frankivsk, western Ukraine, after debris from an intercepted Russian drone struck an outbuilding on the evening of October 8, local authorities said.
Mayor Ruslan Martsinkiv said Ukrainian air defenses had shot down the drone, but falling debris damaged an outbuilding, killing a security guard.
Regional governor Svitlana Onyshchuk reported that the debris also sparked a fire. Emergency services responded to the scene.
