Russian drone strike hits shopping center in western Ukraine, injures at least three

A Russian drone strike hit a shopping center in Ukraine's western Rivne Oblast on October 20, injuring at least three people and causing a major fire, regional authorities said.

Rivne Oblast Governor Oleksandr Koval reported that two of the injured had been hospitalized.

The fire sent smoke and combustion products into the surrounding area, prompting authorities to urge residents of nearby buildings to keep their windows closed.

Emergency services responded to the scene.

Separately, Ukraine's state railway operator Ukrzaliznytsia denied reports circulating online that a Russian drone had struck the railway station in the city of Dubno.

The casualty figures were preliminary, and no further official update was available at the time of publication.
