Anti-graft agencies raid office of Zelenskyy's chief of staff in government quarter

The National Anti-Corruption Bureau and the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office came to search the office of the head of the President's Office, Andriy Yermak, in the government quarter on Friday morning, Ukrainska Pravda reported, citing its correspondent at the scene.

UP journalists managed to film about 10 anti-corruption officials entering the government quarter.

hromadske sought comment from NABU and SAPO but had no immediate response.

In November, the Servant of the People faction began discussing Yermak's resignation. According to MP Fedir Venislavskyi, the reason for this was rumors that a person nicknamed Ali Baba appears on the "Mindich tapes," giving instructions to law enforcement agencies regarding attacks on the SAPO and NABU, and that this person could allegedly be the head of the President's Office.

A source in the Servant of the People faction told hromadske that during a meeting with MPs, the president said he would not dismiss Yermak. Officially, NABU and SAPO have not reported that the head of the Presidential Office is in any way connected to the corruption scheme.

Later, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy appointed him head of the negotiating delegation for discussions with the US on a new peace plan. Yermak himself believes that Zelenskyy has made it clear that he continues to have his trust.
