On the morning of May 15, the Russian occupiers launched a missile strike on the Lviv region. A military facility was hit, which was completely destroyed, the head of the Lviv Regional Military Administration Maksym Kozytskyi announced.

The rocket strike occurred at about 4:30 a.m. The missiles were launched from the Black Sea, probably from submarines.

The Ukrainian military shot down two cruise missiles over the region, but four more hit their target.

According to Kozytskyi, the facility was hit in Yavoriv district, near the border with Poland. In March, the occupiers fired on the Yavoriv training ground in the Lviv region, killing 35 people and injuring more than 100.

According to early reports, there are no victims. No one sought medical help.

There is no direct fighting in the Lviv region, but the threat of missile strikes remains in the western Ukrainian region. A rocket attack on April 18 in Lviv killed 7 people and injured 11 others, including a child.

In addition, the Lviv region has sheltered a significant number of IDPs: officially, 238,000 IDPs have been registered in the region, including 75,000 children.
