He reported that 15 fires broke out in the city as a result of the shelling. According to the mayor, this is the most massive shelling of Sloviansk in recent times.

This comes after earlier reports about the Russian shelling of the city of Kramatorsk using Smerch MLRS.

The situation in Donetsk Oblast

The regional governor Pavlo Kyrylenko, reported that approximately 45% of the Donetsk Oblast is currently under the control of Ukraine, while the Russians are constantly shelling these territories. According to his calculations, approximately 340,000 civilians remain in the free territory of Donetsk Oblast.

The General Staff reported on the morning of July 3 that the Russians were defending on the Sloviansk axis. On the Donetsk axis, the occupiers are concentrating their main efforts on securing positions near Lysychansk and Verkhniokamyanka. They also carried out offensive actions near Bilohorivka, albeit without success.
