Body of a British volunteer returned by the occupiers

“DPR” militants returned the body of the dead British volunteer, Paul Ury. They said that the Briton died “from diseases and stress”, but the returned body has some parts missing, there are numerous cuts and traces of torture. This was announced by the Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights, Dmytro Lubinets.

NSDC sanctions against the Russian leadership

On September 7, the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine decided to impose sanctions against 606 people who belong to the ruling elite of Russia. This was announced by the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy during a video address.

Thus, among the newly sanctioned people, there are 28 members of the Security Council of Russia, 154 members of the Federation Council of Russia, and 424 deputies of the State Duma of Russia.

All of them are responsible for this war, for terror against our people. None of them will escape responsibility — it's only a matter of time,” Zelenskyy said.

Explosion at the United Russia headquarters in Melitopol

The United Russia headquarters was blown up in occupied Melitopol, Zaporizhzhia Oblast. Mayor Ivan Fedorov said that as a result of explosions in the city, the United Russia headquarters was destroyed. It was located in the Nova Poshta building on Lomonosova Street.

Success of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the south

Aviation of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the south during the day carried out 13 attacks on the logistical and administrative facilities of the Russian troops. Ukrainian defenders performed more than 370 fire missions and destroyed 108 occupiers and their equipment, OC South reported.

UN Mission in Olenivka

UN Under-Secretary-General for Political Affairs Rosemary DiCarlo said that the UN mission should arrive in the next few days in temporarily occupied Olenivka, where Ukrainian prisoners of war died in July as a result of a terrorist attack.

Shelling of Kharkiv

On the night of September 8, the occupying troops shelled Kharkiv again: Saltivskyi and Kholodnohirskyi districts were hit. This was reported by the mayor of the city, Ihor Terekhov.

According to him, the city was shelled around midnight. In the Saltivskyi district, according to preliminary data, a facility critically important for the normal life support of the city was hit. A fire broke out there. At the same time, one of the enterprises was hit in Kholodnohirskyi district.
