Theft of Red Cross property by Russians, attempt to stabilize egg prices: last night's highlights

The Russian Red Cross stole the property of the Red Cross Society of Ukraine in occupied Crimea, and the Ministry of Agrarian Policy agreed with the Union of Poultry Breeders of Ukraine to stabilize prices for chicken eggs. Here's what you may have missed from the previous night.

Successes of the Armed Forces of Ukraine

Missile troops and artillery units of the Ukrainian Defense Forces in the south performed about 150 fire missions and conducted one air strike on the enemy's manpower and equipment on November 2.

According to confirmed information, Ukrainian defenders destroyed eight Russian troops, two tanks, Grad multiple rocket launcher system, IMR-1 engineering vehicle, nine units of armored vehicles, four ammunition depots (in Bashtanka and Beryslav districts), six railway tankers with fuel and lubricant stocks of the Russian army.

In addition, one tank, five armored vehicles, a Grad multiple rocket launcher system and a towed D-20 howitzer were damaged. The rest of the Russian losses are being investigated.

Power cuts

"Ukrenergo announced that it is limiting power supply in three more oblasts: Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhzhya and Kirovohrad.

The company explains that the temporary restrictions for all categories of consumers will reduce the load on the grid, maintain a sustainable balancing of the energy system and avoid repeated accidents after the power grids were damaged by Russian missile attacks and drone attacks.

The restrictions will also allow power engineers to restore damaged power facilities as soon as possible, balance the system and provide power supply to consumers.

Stabilization of egg prices

The Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine signed a Memorandum with the Union of Poultry Breeders of Ukraine to stabilize prices for chicken eggs.

Egg producers have committed themselves to saturate the domestic market with eggs, in particular to increase the number of laying hens and egg production.

And the Ministry of Agrarian Policy, for its part, will help to ensure that chicken egg producers are provided with the necessary conditions and resources for work, have the opportunity to attract affordable loans for their production activities.

Theft of Red Cross property

The Russian Red Cross stole the property of the Ukrainian Red Cross Society in the occupied Crimea, said Dmytro Lubinets, the Verkhovna Rada Commissioner for Human Rights. He says that it happened with the tacit consent of the International Federation of the Red Cross.

The Ukrainian Society had 10 premises in the territory of Crimea with a total area of 641 square meters, as well as six cars and office equipment for the staff. However, all this property was "occupied" by the Russian Red Cross.

Railway connection with Kupiansk

State rail company Ukrzaliznytsia is launching a train connection with Kupyansk in the northeast of Kharkiv Oblast. This city was liberated by the Ukrainian military in September. On November 3, the first combined haul will depart there.

Within the framework of the combined haul of Ukrzaliznytsia 95% of the road is covered by train, and the last mile from the Osynove stop platform to Kupyansk — by free shuttle buses of the local community.
