Son of cosmonaut Kadenyuk found dead in Kyiv, with multiple wounds

The body of 41-year-old Dmytro Kadenyuk — son of Ukraine's first independent cosmonaut Leonid Kadenyuk — was found dead in Kyiv, news agency RBC-Ukraine reported, citing its own sources.

According to the media, early on Wednesday, Dmytro Kadenyuk's mother discovered his body in an apartment on Lesia Ukrainka Square in the capital.

Family acquaintances said the body lay near the front door, with multiple wounds and a knife in his hand.

RBC-Ukraine wrote that no suicide note was found, and the nature of the injuries may indicate a possible struggle.

Kyiv police confirmed that in one of the apartments of a local high-rise in the Pecherskyi district, the body of a 41-year-old Kyiv resident with stab wounds was discovered. A district police investigative-operational team, officers and a forensic medical expert are currently at the scene.
