Russian drone strike on Kharkiv wounds 17, including four children

In the early hours of June 5, Russian forces launched a drone attack on Kharkiv, resulting in injuries to 17 individuals, including four children, according to regional governor Oleg Synegubov, the State Emergency Service of Kharkiv Oblast, and the National Police of Ukraine.

The Russian troops targeted residential buildings in the Slobidskyi district of the city with drones. The attack caused fires in several apartments of a 17-story building, a basement of a five-story building, and three cars.

Among the 17 injured were four children aged 13, 9, and 7 years. According to Synegubov, the injured also included a pregnant woman and a 93-year-old woman.

Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov reported overnight that the Russian army struck Kharkiv six times, including two direct hits on apartment buildings.
