Russian drones hit Sumy high-rise, injuring at least 11
Russian forces struck civilian infrastructure in Sumy with drones on Thursday evening, hitting a high-rise apartment building and injuring at least 11 people, including four children, Acting Mayor Artem Kobzar reported.
Kobzar said strikes in the city's Kovpakivskyi district included at least five impacts by 11:11 p.m. local time.
Media outlets including public broadcaster Suspilne and Kordon.Media reported a fire raging at the high-rise hit and damage to a residential building.
As of 7:30 a.m. on Oct. 31, the State Emergency Service reported 11 injured, including four children.
Two victims from the high-rise — a teenage girl and an elderly woman — received on-site medical aid, with details on others still being verified.
Meanwhile, "Suspilne" writes that a fire is raging at the site of the hit on the high-rise building in Sumy. The local "Kordon.Media" also reported that a residential building was hit.
