Casualty toll in Odesa drone strike reaches 14, including two children

The number of people injured during a massive Russian drone attack on Odesa overnight into Monday stands at 14, including two children, according to latest reports from regional officials.

The overnight barrage, launched by Russian forces using strike UAVs, caused extensive damage to civilian infrastructure across several districts. Odesa Oblast Military Administration Head Oleh Kiper confirmed that five of the victims, most suffering from shrapnel wounds, have been hospitalized.

The Prymorskyi district suffered the most significant damage, with Russian drones striking residential buildings and a hotel.

Additional strikes were recorded in the Khadzhybeyskyi and Kyivskyi districts, where multi-story apartment complexes, private homes, and numerous vehicles were hit.

"More than 250 emergency service workers and municipal employees worked throughout the night," said Serhiy Lysak, head of the Odesa City Military Administration. "Victims are receiving all necessary medical care, and residents of damaged buildings are being provided with consultations regarding compensation."

In addition to residential property, the attack impacted warehouses and local infrastructure. This strike is part of a wider wave of 94 drones launched by Russia overnight, which included high-speed jet-powered variants.
