Russia hits high-rise in Kharkiv: 4 dead, 28 injured

Russian troops recently opened fire on Kharkiv. In the Industrialnyi district, a Russian guided aerial bomb hit an entry section of a 12-story building, reported the head of the Kharkiv regional state administration Oleg Synegubov and Mayor Ihor Terekhov.

So far, four people have been confirmed dead, including a 14-year-old girl. Another 28 people were injured.

In the Nemyshlyanskyi district, the Russian troops killed a child right on the playground, Terekhov said. At least three other people in the area were injured.

Synegubov reported damage to an educational institution in Kharkiv.

According to preliminary data, there were also hits in Chuhuyiv.

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stressed that this Russian attack on Kharkiv was "right on people, on ordinary homes."

"This strike was a Russian guided aerial bomb. A blow that would not have happened if our Defense Forces had the ability to destroy Russian military aircraft where they are based. We need strong solutions from our partners to stop this terror," he wrote.

Zelenskyy stated that this is "an absolutely fair need" and there is no rational reason to limit Ukraine's defense: "We need long-range capabilities. We need the implementation of agreements on air defense for Ukraine. This is about saving lives."
