Explosions rock Crimea with Belbek airfield likely under attack

Explosions were heard in occupied Crimea, and Russian air defenses were operating at local airfields, local Telegram channel Crimean Wind reported with reference to the words of eyewitnesses.

As it is claimed, the air defense system operated at the Belbek airfields in Sevastopol and at the Saky airbase, near the village of Novofedorivka.

Smoke was detected over the territory of the Nakhimov Black Sea Naval University.

Mikhail Razvozhaev, Russia's puppet governor in Crimea, announced that the military had repelled a "combined attack by the Armed Forces of Ukraine".

Mash Telegram channel said that the Ukrainian Defense Forces launched about 40 unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), Neptune anti-ship missiles and "yet-unidentified ballistic missiles" over Crimea. The wreckage of one of the drones fell in the Orlivka area near the Kachynskyi highway in Sevastopol.
