Drones attack oil refinery in Russia's Volgograd Oblast, causing fire

A drone attack was reported on a local oil refinery in Russia's Volgograd Oblast, according to regional governor Andrey Bocharov.

Air defenses were operating in the region overnight, he added.

According to the official, a fire broke out on the grounds of the oil refinery as a result of the falling debris of one of the UAVs. It has already been extinguished. A plant worker was injured there and hospitalized.

In total, the Russian Defense Ministry reported the destruction of 49 drones. 25 UAVs were shot down over Rostov Oblast; another 8 over Volgograd Oblast; 6 over Kursk Oblast; 4 over Yaroslavl Oblast and two each over Belgorod, Voronezh oblasts, and Krasnodar Krai.
