Russian drones cause major to damage DTEK energy facility in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast
This morning, Russian troops used drones to strike a production facility belonging to DTEK, Ukraine’s largest private energy provider, in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, according to the company’s press service.
The attack caused serious damage to buildings and equipment at the site. No DTEK employees were injured, the company said.
“We are doing everything possible to ensure uninterrupted power supply in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast,” DTEK stated.
More than a month ago, the U.S. administration held separate talks with Ukrainian and Russian delegations to negotiate a partial ceasefire. The parties agreed to develop measures to prohibit attacks on energy infrastructure in both Russia and Ukraine.
However, Russian attacks on Ukrainian civilian infrastructure have continued despite these discussions.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said Ukraine responded positively to the U.S. proposal for a full and unconditional ceasefire, but Russian President Vladimir Putin remains focused on continuing the war.
