Russian missile barrage on Kyiv kills nine, injures over 60

Russian forces unleashed a massive missile and drone attack on Kyiv overnight, killing nine people and injuring 63, including six children, Mayor Vitaliy Klitschko and Ukraine’s State Emergency Service reported.

The Sviatoshynskyi district bore the brunt of the attack, with Russian forces striking a residential building, sparking fires at six locations, and causing significant structural damage.

In the Shevchenkivskyi and Holosiyivskyi districts, falling drone debris ignited garages.

Preliminary reports indicate nine fatalities and 63 civilian injuries, with 42 people, including six children, hospitalized.

Emergency response teams, including SES psychologists and canine units, are working to clear debris and assist survivors.
