Ukrainian military destroys Russian group in Dachne, Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, denies occupation

The General Staff of Ukraine’s Armed Forces responded to reports of a possible Russian occupation of Dachne village in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, stating that the enemy forces that entered were eliminated.

Several Telegram channels, as well as the American Institute for the Study of War (ISW), claimed that Russian troops crossed the administrative border into Dnipropetrovsk Oblast and occupied Dachne.

Russia’s 114th Motorized Rifle Brigade of the 51st Army also claimed the alleged capture.

The General Staff clarified that Ukrainian units continue to repel Russian attempts to breach the Donetsk-Dnipropetrovsk administrative border, with no Russian success.

“A few days ago, a small enemy reconnaissance group managed to enter Dachne in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast. The occupiers took photos with a Russian tricolor, but that was their last activity: Ukrainian soldiers destroyed them,” the military stated.

The General Staff added that, in a subsequent assault in the area, two Russian soldiers were captured by Ukrainian marines.

Thus, reports of Russia establishing a foothold in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast are false.
