Russian strikes kill one, injure several across Ukrainian regions

Russian combined strikes on Ukraine's regions left injured people in Zhytomyr, Khmelnytskyi and Vinnytsia oblasts. In Zhytomyr Oblast, a missile damaged the home of veteran Oleksandr Shvetsov, whom hromadske has written about.

Regional administrations in Zhytomyr and Khmelnytskyi reported on the aftermath of the Russian attack.

Zhytomyr Oblast was targeted by Russian kamikaze drones and cruise missiles. One person was killed and another injured in the strikes.

Several civilian enterprises and private homes were also damaged. Among them was the home of veteran and activist Oleksandr Shvetsov. He said a Russian missile landed 20 meters from his house.

"The house is wrecked. The car and so on. But the main thing is I'm alive. Neighbors are alive. The animals, which I got into the house in time, too," he wrote, asking for help to rebuild his home.

"I've always fought for others. Always helped others. And never asked for anything for myself. But today I ask you, Ukrainians: help me restore my home, car and life that the Rascists are trying to steal from me for the second time," Oleksandr said.

Meanwhile, in Khmelnytskyi district of Khmelnytskyi Oblast, three people were injured and are receiving aid. Russians also destroyed a sewing factory, damaged a gas station, vehicles and shattered windows in nearby homes.

Head of Lviv Oblast Administration Maksym Kozytskyy also reported a "very difficult night." He said Lviv came under attack by combat drones and missiles overnight. However, there were no casualties in the city, and the region's life support systems are operating normally.

Earlier, head of Vinnytsia Oblast Military Administration Nataliya Zabolotna reported hits on civilian industrial facilities in the oblast. As of 8:35 a.m., one injured person was reported.

Residential infrastructure facilities were also damaged in the oblast. Overall, 26 drones and 11 missiles were over the region.

In Volyn Oblast, the downing of Russian drones caused a fire at one production facility. There were no casualties, the regional administration reported.

Meanwhile, in Cherkasy Oblast's Zolotonosha district, a blast wave partially destroyed a barn, killing two cows. Windows and roofs were also damaged, preliminarily, in five homes and a car.

In the Zvenyhorodka district, windows were blown out in five buildings and a power line was affected. Repair crews are already working there.
