SBU drones target Russia's Baltic oil hub used by its 'shadow fleet'
Ukraine's Security Service used drones to attack the Russian oil-loading port of Primorsk on the Baltic Sea, sources in the SBU told hromadske.
The sources described the targeted port as a critical hub for loading Russia's "shadow fleet," which Moscow uses to evade international sanctions and sell oil on global markets.
The port handles about 60 million tons of oil annually, generating $15 billion for Russia.
The SBU drone strike caused fires on one vessel in the port and at a pumping station. Oil loading has been halted, with potential daily losses to Russia's budget of up to $41 million from the export disruption.
Additionally, the SBU hit several Russian oil pumping stations — NPS-3, NPS Andreapol and NPS-7 — which are part of the main pipeline system supplying crude oil to the Ust-Luga port terminal.
