Russian drone kills 2 in Kharkiv Oblast truck strike

Two men were killed in Kharkiv Oblast on Friday, when a drone hit a truck, according to the regional police.

The strike drone hit the truck as the men were transferring firewood from a ZIL vehicle to a tractor-trailer.

The blast into the truck's cab killed the men, aged 52 and 67, who were standing nearby. A fire broke out at the scene.

Police officers are examining the site, collecting evidence and documenting another crime by Russian forces against Ukrainians.

Investigators have opened a case under Part 2 of Article 438 of Ukraine's Criminal Code — war crimes.

Over the previous day, enemy strikes hit Kharkiv city and seven other settlements in the region. No casualties were reported, the regional military administration said.
