Ukrainian forces clear Russians from Chuhunivka in Kharkiv Oblast
Ukrainian Defense Forces cleared Russian troops from the village of Chuhunivka in Kharkiv Oblast, took some enemy personnel prisoner and raised the national flag over the settlement, the 16th Army Corps reported.
Russian troops attempted to infiltrate Chuhunivka under cover of bad weather, but reconnaissance drone operators detected the group in time.
The specialized assault rifle company “Shkval” then conducted a clearing operation in the village. Some Russian troops who laid down their weapons were taken prisoner.
The Ukrainian flag was raised in Chuhunivka, and the village is now under the control of Ukraine’s Defense Forces, the corps stated.

According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Russian forces launched 14 attacks on the Kupyansk axis on February 8. Ukrainian defenders repelled the assaults toward Kupyansk, Podoly, Petropavlivka, Pishchane, Novoosynove, Nova Kruhliakivka, and Novoplatonivka.
