Ukrainian forces strike Volgograd oil refinery and Russian army's air defenses

Ukrainian drones struck a major oil refinery in Russia’s Volgograd Oblast and hit Russian air defense systems and military equipment across occupied territories in Ukraine overnight into Wednesday, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported.

Ukrainian forces hit the Volgograd Oil Refinery in Volgograd, Russia, which is involved in supplying Russia’s army. A fire broke out at the facility. The extent of the damage is being clarified.

In addition, in temporarily occupied Crimea, near Lobanove, a fuel and lubricants depot of Russian forces was struck.

In the temporarily occupied territory of Zaporizhzhia Oblast, near Balochka, a Russian material and technical support warehouse was hit. Near Liubymivka, a military equipment cluster came under attack. Also near Huliaypole, Ukrainian forces struck a personnel cluster from a unit belonging to the Rubikon center.

In the temporarily occupied territory of Donetsk Oblast, near Tretyaky, a Russian Osa surface-to-air missile system was destroyed.

In the temporarily occupied territory of Kherson Oblast, near Voskresenske, a Russian Tor surface-to-air missile system was struck.

Russian troop losses and the full scale of damage inflicted are still being clarified.
