Ukrainian forces hit Russian missile arsenal with Flamingo missile

Ukrainian Defense Forces struck a major Russian missile and ammunition storage arsenal in Volgograd Oblast with FP-5 “Flamingo” long-range weapons overnight into Thursday, along with hits on a defense plant in Tambov Oblast and ammo depots in occupied Zaporizhzhia Oblast, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported.

The arsenal is located near the settlement of Kotluban in Russia’s Volgograd Oblast. Ukrainian forces hit the GRAU arsenal, a defense enterprise and Russian ammunition warehouses there.

The General Staff noted that this arsenal is one of the largest ammunition storage sites for the Russian army. The strike on the arsenal was carried out using Ukrainian FP-5 “Flamingo” long-range strike weapons.

Powerful explosions with subsequent detonations were recorded at the site. The extent of the damage is being clarified.

In addition, in Michurinsk, Tambov Oblast of Russia, a strike hit the “Michurinsk Progress Plant,” an enterprise that produces high-tech equipment for aviation and missile systems and is involved in supplying Russia’s army.

According to preliminary information, a fire broke out on the plant’s territory. Results and the scale of damage are being clarified.

Also in the temporarily occupied territory of Zaporizhzhia Oblast, near Terpinnia and Rozivka, Russian ammunition depots were struck.

Furthermore, the General Staff confirmed that the Wednesday’s strike on the Volgograd Oil Refinery in Volgograd Oblast damaged the main primary oil refining unit ELOU-AVT-1, elements of AVT-3 and infrastructure facilities on site. Secondary refining units saw reduced load or shutdown. The scale of damage is being clarified.
