Russia launches 155 drones at Ukraine overnight; fires in Odesa, Dnipropetrovsk oblasts

Overnight into Thursday, Russia launched 155 strike UAVs at Ukraine. Defenders managed to neutralize most of the targets, according to Ukraine’s Air Force Command.

About 100 of the launched drones were Shaheds. Attacks also involved Gerbera, Italmas drones and UAVs of other types.

The aggressor launched the drones from Bryansk, Kursk, Millerovo, Primorsko-Akhtarsk and Hvardiyske and Chauda in temporarily occupied Crimea.

According to preliminary data as of 8:00 a.m., air defense neutralized 136 UAVs.

18 strike drones were recorded hitting eight locations, and debris from downed drones fell at three locations.

Aftermath of the attack

Overnight, Russian forces again attacked southern Odesa Oblast with strike drones, according to the regional military administration, . As a result of the attack a fire broke out at the premises of a non-operational recreation base. The fire engulfed wooden houses and partially destroyed a nearby four-story building. Transport was also damaged.

According to local authorities, two people were wounded as a result of Russian strikes on Dnipropetrovsk Oblast. Russian troops attacked four districts using drones, artillery and aerial bombs. Kryvyi Rih came under massive attack, where fires broke out and infrastructure was damaged.

In Kherson Oblast, three people were killed and four more wounded throughout the day due to Russian aggression, the regional military administration stated.
