SBU drones strike Yevpatoria aircraft plant and Pantsir systems near Dzhankoi in occupied Crimea

Ukraine’s SBU Alpha special operations center drones struck production facilities at the Yevpatoria Aviation Repair Plant and Russian military positions near Dzhankoi airfield in occupied Crimea overnight into Friday, damaging two Pantsir-S2 systems and other assets, an informed source in the SBU told hromadske.

The drones struck production workshops of the Yevpatoria Aviation Repair Plant JSC, as well as locations of military equipment and personnel in the settlement of Pushkine (near Dzhankoi airfield).

According to preliminary information, the following were hit:

  • two Pantsir-S2 anti-aircraft missile-gun systems;
  • a Mohajer-6 UAV on the airfield;
  • a ZU-23 anti-aircraft mount on a truck;
  • two fuel tankers;
  • the ground control station for Forpost UAVs.

“Systematic SBU special operations in Crimea aim to destroy military infrastructure that Russia uses to attack Ukraine. We are deliberately knocking out the enemy’s air defense systems, drones and equipment to weaken its ability to cover its bases and strike Ukrainian cities. The enemy will not feel safe — especially on the territory of Ukrainian Crimea,” the SBU said.
