Fire erupts at Russian oil depot in Russia's Krasnodar Krai after drone attack

A fire broke out at an oil depot in Russia's Krasnodar Krai after a drone attack overnight into Thursday, with the blaze covering 150 square meters, the Krasnodar Krai Operational Headquarters reported.

The incident occurred in Tikhoretsk, where authorities attributed the ignition to falling debris from a UAV. 83 firefighters and 26 pieces of equipment were deployed to extinguish the flames, which spread over 150 sq. m.

Telegram channel Astra reported that storage tanks caught fire at the local oil depot operated by Tikhoretsk-Neft LLC, a transshipment point under Transneft's structure.

Videos circulating online showed the moment of impact on the oil depot and the resulting fire.
