Russia launches 142 drones at Ukraine overnight, 28 strike 18 locations

Russian troops launched 142 strike drones — including Shahed (some jet-powered), Gerbera, Italmas, and other types — at Ukraine overnight into Monday, the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported.

The drones were launched from the directions of Kursk, Bryansk, Oryol, Millerovo, Shatalovo and Primorsko-Akhtarsk in Russia, as well as occupied Donetsk and Hvardiyske in Crimea.

Air defense forces, including aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare units, unmanned systems and mobile fire groups, engaged the attack.

As of 8 a.m., 113 enemy drones were shot down or suppressed in the north, south and east of the country. However, 28 strike drones hit 18 locations, while debris from downed drones fell at six sites.

What are the consequences?

In Kyiv Oblast, Russian forces struck a residential area in the Brovary district. A fire broke out in a house and a 51-year-old man was injured. He was hospitalized.

In Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, six people were injured. In the Nikopol district, five people were wounded in evening and night attacks; three of them were hospitalized. One victim was taken to hospital by State Emergency Service crews.

In the early morning, a Shahed drone hit an infrastructure facility in Kryvyi Rih. Rescue operations are underway; several apartment buildings were damaged. A 39-year-old man sustained light injuries and is being treated on an outpatient basis.

In Kharkiv Oblast, three people were injured in Velykyi Burluk. Russian drones hit a three-apartment residential building, causing a large fire. State Emergency Service crews worked under the threat of repeated strikes to extinguish the blaze and prevent it from spreading to neighboring houses.
