Residential buildings and infrastructure damaged in Russian overnight strikes throughout Ukraine
Russian forces attacked Odesa, Mykolaiv, Kharkiv, and other Ukrainian regions with drones overnight into Friday, damaging residential buildings, port infrastructure, and an administrative building, with several people injured.
In Odesa, Russian attack drones damaged two multi-story residential buildings, destroying apartments and sparking fires. Two people were injured and are receiving medical assistance, Odesa Oblast Military Administration head Oleh Kiper said.
Port infrastructure was also hit in the Izmail district. Regional authorities reported that the fires were extinguished and there were no casualties there.
In Mykolaiv Oblast, Russian forces targeted energy and critical infrastructure. Energy workers are currently restoring power, Mykolaiv Oblast Military Administration head Vitaliy Kim said.
In the city of Mykolaiv, three people were injured due to the attack and falling debris. A 35-year-old man suffered shrapnel wounds and was hospitalized. Two women experienced acute stress reactions and received medical help on site.
Five multi-story buildings, two private homes and six vehicles were also damaged. Several fires broke out but were quickly extinguished by rescuers.
In Kharkiv, a Russian drone strike damaged an administrative building. One person was injured, Kharkiv Oblast Military Administration head Oleg Synegubov said. Rescue services are working to clear the aftermath.
The governor later added that Russian forces launched additional strikes on other districts of the city.
The Ukrainian Air Force reported that Russia used a total of 210 attack drones overnight. Air defenses destroyed 190 of them in the north, south and east of the country, while the remaining 20 struck 14 locations. Debris from downed targets fell at 10 additional sites.
