Drone attack threats were declared in Russia’s Krasnodar Krai overnight into Friday. A fire subsequently broke out at the sea terminal in Tuapse.

The Operational Headquarters of Krasnodar Krai claimed there were no casualties. Emergency and specialized services are working at the scene to extinguish the blaze.

Earlier, the head of the Tuapse municipal district, Sergey Boyko, had warned of the danger of a possible drone attack.

This marks the fourth strike on Tuapse in a short period. The first attack occurred on April 16, when, according to Ukraine’s General Staff, drones hit the tank farm at the local oil refinery, triggering a fire. The Ukrainian military stated that the facility is involved in supplying Russia’s forces in Ukraine.

The second attack took place on April 20. The resulting fire was only fully extinguished on April 24, with nearly 300 personnel and 77 pieces of equipment involved in the response. According to Telegram channels, an oil slick covering about 10,000 square meters formed in the Black Sea after the strike, and residents reported “oil rains” falling from the sky.

Overnight into April 28, drones struck the city again, with the local oil refinery catching fire once more.
