11 Iskander missiles launched at Ukraine as Russia targets rescuers in Poltava Oblast

Russian forces launched 11 Iskander-M ballistic missiles and 164 attack drones at Ukraine overnight, with air defenses downing most but strikes killing at least 16 people and wounding dozens more across several regions over the past day, the Air Force Command reported.

According to preliminary data as of 9 a.m., Ukrainian air defenses shot down or suppressed one ballistic missile and 149 Shahed drones, Gerbera, Italmas and decoy drones across northern, southern, eastern and central Ukraine.

Eight ballistic missiles and 14 attack drones struck 14 locations, with debris from downed munitions falling at another 10 sites. Two ballistic missiles failed to reach their targets.

What are the consequences?

In Kharkiv, a morning drone attack hit the Kholodnohirskyi and Osnovyanskyi districts, injuring at least three people. Over the previous day, eight people were killed and 40 wounded in the region, including three children.

In Brovary, Kyiv Oblast, a drone strike wounded a 34-year-old woman and a 37-year-old man. The woman suffered a hand injury from glass fragments. The man suffered a cut on his heel. The glazing of an apartment, the facade of a multi-story building, and a car were also damaged.

As a result of another attack, a fire broke out at an industrial site in the Vyshhorod district, injuring one person.

In Poltava Oblast, Russian forces struck a gas production facility with both missiles and drones, leaving 3,480 households without gas and damaging railway infrastructure.

Four people were killed and 31 wounded, most of them State Emergency Service rescuers hit in a follow-up missile strike while responding to the initial fire.

In Chernihiv Oblast, FPV drones attacked villages in the Horodnia territorial community, wounding three people and damaging a farm, vehicles, and a forestry administration building.

In Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, Russian forces carried out more than 20 attacks using missiles, guided aerial bombs, artillery and drones, wounding two people, including a 62-year-old man hospitalized in serious condition in Dnipro.

In addition to residential buildings, there is damage to the grounds of an enterprise. Another person was injured in the Nikopol district.

In Kherson Oblast, strikes on residential areas and social infrastructure damaged 17 private homes, stores, cell towers, a post office and vehicles, killing one person and wounding seven.

In Zaporizhzhia Oblast, three people were killed and 11 were wounded on Monday as Russian forces delivered 843 strikes on 49 settlements.
