Ukrainian forces strike depots, repair units and troop positions across occupied territories
Ukrainian Defense Forces struck a series of Russian military targets overnight, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported.
According to the military, Ukrainian forces hit two Russian command-and-observation posts and a command center in the area of Selydove, in Russian-occupied Donetsk Oblast. A Russian drone unit command post near Pokrovsk was also struck overnight.
Defense Forces additionally attacked a Russian logistics and materiel depot in Novopoltavka, Zaporizhzhia Oblast, and a repair unit in Rozkvit, Luhansk Oblast.
Ukrainian forces also struck Russian troop clusters in Donetsk and in Okhrimivka, Zaporizhzhia Oblast.
The overnight strikes came as Russia launched more than 200 attack drones against Ukraine. Explosions were reported in Kyiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Kharkiv and other oblasts.
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said "Russia itself chose to end the partial silence," and added that Ukraine would "act in kind in response to all Russian actions."
