Ukraine has confirmed its first case of a new COVID-19 subvariant known as "Cicada," which has already been detected in at least 23 countries, the Ministry of Health reported.

Ukrainian photographer Evgeniy Maloletka has won the European region of the World Press Photo 2026 contest with his photograph titled “Russian attack on Kyiv,” the contest website reported.
