Ukrainian forces retake Odradne in Kharkiv Oblast after planned assault operation

Units of Ukraine's 129th Separate Heavy Mechanized Brigade seized control of Odradne in the Dvorichna district in Kharkiv Oblast following a planned assault operation, the brigade reported.

Following the planned operation, Ukraine's Defense Forces cleared Odradne and restored control over the settlement and its surrounding area. Assault units, drone operators, and artillery all participated in the mission.

"Their coordinated efforts made it possible to systematically detect, engage, and destroy enemy personnel, weapons, and shelters," the brigade said. "This advance is the result of the courage, endurance, and professionalism of Ukrainian soldiers who carry out combat missions every day."

During the operation, the brigade's units drove Russian troops from treelines, fortified positions, and strongpoints.

Separately, fighters of the 23rd Assault Regiment "R.U.H." of the 2nd Corps of the National Guard of Ukraine "Khartiia" said they conducted an assault operation on the Vovchansk axis between April and May 2026. Foreign volunteers from Latin American countries also took part in that operation.

The regiment said its assault groups advanced through forested areas on both flanks, reached designated objectives and cleared Russian positions extending as far as a company-level strongpoint.
