Russia launches ballistic missiles and hundreds of drones at Ukraine overnight
Russian forces attacked Ukraine overnight on June 11 with two Iskander-M ballistic missiles and 221 drones, says Ukraine’s Air Force Command.
As of 7:30 a.m. local time, Ukraine’s Air Defence Forces shot down 195 Russian drones of the Shahed, Herbera, Italmas, and other types in the north, south, and east of the country.
It’s reported that missiles and 21 attack drones hit 9 locations, and debris from downed drones was found at 8 locations.
In particular, the Poltava region was attacked overnight, says Vitalii Diakivnych, head of the Regional Military Administration. Explosions were also heard in Sumy. Local authorities have not disclosed information about the aftermath of the attack yet.
