Russia launches another massive missile attack on Kyiv, killing at least 9

Russian forces carried out a massive missile attack on Kyiv overnight into Monday. Destruction of a high-rise building was recorded in one of the districts of the capital, Mayor Vitaliy Klitschko and the State Emergency Service of Ukraine reported.

Head of the Kyiv City Military Administration Tymur Tkachenko said 46 people were injured in Kyiv, including five children, and nine people were killed.

The heaviest destruction was in the Podilskyi district, where, a missile hit a nine-story residential building, destroying floors 5 through 9. Rescuers brought 17 people to fresh air there, and another 28 were lowered from upper floors using an aerial ladder. Three women and six children were removed from the upper floors, Klitschko reported.

At other locations in the district, partial destruction on the roof of a 19-story building was recorded, as well as falling debris at the level of the 16th floor of a 25-story residential building. Cars are burning in the courtyards of the buildings.

In addition, the search for victims continues in a 21-story residential building, where destruction occurred from the 2nd to 5th floors.

In the Darnytskyi district, debris fell at the level of the 4th floor in one of the 25-story buildings, and in another, an apartment fire broke out over 150 square meters. People are blocked on the upper floors. Two dead were found in one of the buildings.

At another address, as a result of debris hitting a 30-story residential building, a fire broke out from the 23rd to 25th floors.

In the Holosiyivskyi and Obolonskyi districts of the capital, a non-residential building is on fire as a result of the attack.

In total, at least 15 residential buildings in Kyiv suffered damage and destruction.
