Drones appear to have attacked Gazprom refinery in Russia's Bashkortostan

Russian authorities reported an overnight drone attack in Salavat, Bashkortostan, with OSINT projects indicating that one of the country's largest oil refineries, Gazprom Neftekhim Salavat, was targeted.

The head of Bashkortostan, Radiy Habirov, confirmed explosions in the city but stated there were no casualties. While he described the incident as a repelled drone attack on the industrial zone, OSINT sources reported strikes on the Gazprom Neftekhim Salavat plant.

According to the Russian Telegram channel Astra, it is one of the largest oil refining and petrochemical complexes in Russia and belongs to the Gazprom group.

Astra also mentioned a possible strike on another site — the Rosneft-Opt oil depot.

In Krasnodar Krai, the Afipsky oil refinery came under a repeated drone attack, with a fire breaking out on its territory. The plant has been targeted by drones before.

Residents of Gelendzhik in the same region also reported explosions and a fire near the local airfield.
