Ukraine confirms strikes on two Russian oil refineries and transshipment area

Ukrainian Defense Forces struck two Russian oil refineries and a ship transshipment area overnight into July 14, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported.

The targets included the Gazprom Neftekhim Salavat oil refining complex in Bashkortostan, where a fire broke out after the strike. Damage assessment is ongoing.

The facility is one of Russia's largest oil refining and petrochemical complexes, producing gasoline, diesel and aviation fuel, lubricants and other products essential to the Russian economy. Its design capacity is about 10 million tons of oil per year.

The Afipsky oil refinery in Krasnodar Krai was also hit again, with a fire reported at the site. This plant has a design capacity of around 6.25 million tons of oil per year and is a key refining enterprise in southern Russia, supplying motor fuels and components for Moscow's needs.

In addition, the ship transshipment area in Gelendzhik, Krasnodar Krai — used for Russian oil transfers and supporting enemy naval and military logistics — came under attack.

Ukrainian forces also struck five tankers, five dry cargo ships and a harbor tug in the Sea of Azov, an ammunition depot in occupied Donetsk and a logistics hub in Luhansk.
