SBU confirms hits on Volgograd refinery and Taman port, aircraft plant in occupied Crimea
Ukrainian forces struck an aviation plant in occupied Yevpatoria, port infrastructure in Taman in Russia’s Krasnodar Krai, and the Lukoil refinery in Volgograd, according to Ukraine’s Security Service.
According to the SBU, the aviation plant in occupied Yevpatoria was hit in a strike that damaged a production workshop and two aircraft storage hangars.
Another target was the port of Taman, where a large fire was recorded after the strike. The Moscow Times had earlier reported that the attack hit the port’s petroleum products and dry cargo terminals.
The SBU also confirmed an attack on the Lukoil-Volgogradneftepererabotka refinery. The plant is one of the largest oil refining enterprises in Russia, with a processing capacity of about 15 million tons of oil per year.
